Where do you stand politically?
My results were: "You are very confused. Please seek help." ;)

So could those questions be any more biased? They were also unclear as to what you were answering because many made assumptions that were certainly not true. Take for example this question:
"Because corporations cannot be trusted to voluntarily protect the environment, they require regulation."
How do I answer the question if I don't agree with the first part? Maybe I feel they CAN be trust, but should be regulated for other reasons. The question only works if you agree with the first part.
All of that aside, I still came down as a libertarian which about sums my political ideals right up. However, I would caution people to try and notice the bias found in the questions.

Yes, several of the questions were biased, and the one you mentioned I also had a hard time answering. Also, not having a middle of the road answer forces you to have bias one way or the other on issues you may simply not care much about. (Notice that UAB's end of semester professor review sheet does the same thing? Most of the time, I want to mark "mediocre", but they don't allow that answer.)
I should mention that I found the survey link here: http://j-walkblog.com/index.php?/weblog/posts/presidential_candidates_political_compass/. The diagram says that most presidential candidates are right-leaning, but with the bias of those questions, if they had REALLY taken the quiz, I think there would be more dots on the left side of the graph.

Well, I scored like this:
Economic Left/Right: 4.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.56
I guess that would put me close to Thatcher, which I could live with. But I agree the questions could be better and make one pick what I'd call false choices.
